AR Restaurant Menus in Lebanon

Guests scan a QR code at the table and see each dish in 3D in the phone browser. No app store. That is an AR restaurant menu.

An AR restaurant menu lets a diner point a phone at the table (or open a link) and see a 3D model of the dish before ordering. MoonDev's product for this is Tableside: we scan dishes on site, build the models, brand the menu and host it. The live demo is at tableside.moondev.io.

How it works at the table

  1. A QR code sits on the table, menu or placemat.
  2. The guest opens it in Safari or Chrome — no app install.
  3. They browse categories, tap a dish and place the 3D model in AR on the table or view it in 3D on screen.
  4. Ordering still goes through the waiter or the restaurant's existing POS; the menu is the visual layer.

What we capture on site

On a kitchen or prep visit we scan each dish (about five minutes per dish when the kitchen is ready), photograph plating for the 2D fallback, and collect names, prices and allergens from the restaurant. Models are built and reviewed against the real plate before go-live.

Who it fits

WebAR is the right default when you want zero friction: one link, every modern phone. Native AR apps only make sense when you already have a large installed base — most Lebanese dining guests will not download an app for one meal.
