FAQ
Direct answers for restaurant owners and F&B managers in Lebanon and the Gulf comparing an AR menu with a QR or PDF menu.
No. 4D Smart Menu runs in the phone's browser. Guests scan the QR code on the table with their camera app, the menu opens in Safari or Chrome, and the AR view of each dish loads from there. There is nothing to install and no account to create, which is why scan-to-view takes seconds.
Yes. It works on recent iPhones (Safari on iOS) and Android phones (Chrome) using the WebAR support built into those browsers. On a laptop or desktop the menu still opens as an interactive 3D menu; only the camera-based AR view needs a phone.
A QR digital menu opens a PDF or a web page with text and photos. An AR menu opens a web page too, but lets the guest place a life-size 3D model of the dish on the table and look at it from every side. The guest sees portion size, plating and texture before ordering instead of guessing from a photo. Restaurants using 4D Smart Menu report up to 30% more appetizer and dessert orders and shorter decision time.
No closure. We come to your restaurant, scan each dish as it is plated, about 5 minutes per dish, usually before opening or during a quiet service. A menu of 30 to 40 dishes is usually captured in one visit. Processing the 3D models, building the menu and preparing the QR codes follows in the days after; we confirm the exact timeline in the quote.
You send us the change and we update the hosted menu. The QR codes on your tables keep working because the link never changes. Text and price changes need no visit; new dishes need a short scanning session. Seasonal menus are scheduled ahead so the update goes live on the day you switch.
Yes. Each dish page carries the name, description, price, allergens and dietary tags, and the menu can be published in Arabic, English and French with a language switch. Currency and formatting follow your market, so the same setup works in Lebanon, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
It replaces the PDF menu: one QR code per table opens the 4D Smart Menu instead. It does not replace your POS or ordering system. Orders continue through your staff or your existing ordering app, and we can add a button that links straight to it. Deeper POS integration is scoped per project.
There is no public price list because every menu is different. The quote depends on the number of dishes to scan, markerless AR versus image tracking on the printed menu, whether you want professional dish photography, the number of branches and how often the menu changes. Multi-branch groups share one dish library, so a second branch with the same menu costs much less than the first. Send us the menu and we reply with a per-dish and per-branch breakdown.
We bring a phone, a QR code and one of your dishes in AR to your restaurant. Byblos, Beirut and the rest of Lebanon on site; the Gulf by video call first.
